~Torn

~Torn

A Poem by Clyde du Coeur
"

Truthful account based on a time when I was tempted by another guy.

"

He pleases me so,

Yet he hardly ever has time for me,

He doesn’t understand how much I care,

Sometimes it feels like I’m not (even) there

Another makes me feel a way I shouldn’t,

He doesn’t know his impact on me,

And still we connect as if we we’re one

But we’re not.

I’m torn between the two,

Two interests with two different qualities,

Yet I can’t have both;

That would be cheating after all -

With one, an hour can be all I need

Yet he makes me plead;

The other, unobtainable in every sense

Treats me like a friend, hence why

I’m torn between the two.

Clyde du Coeur
(It’s just a crush, something small,
Not worth letting her desire run free,
After all, she is not portrayed in that light to him
She might as well stay with her love…)

Very good, I think it could have been turned into a short story as well, but if worked nicely as a poem.
