Snake EyesA Poem by Clyde du CoeurPenned on 29th December 2004.
Draw up, nice and close
Tilt your head to the left Fill me with fear in one dose It's so quiet - you criminal of living life theft. Watch me with you snake eyes Stalk me with your senses, It's just you and me - with eyes I despise The atmosphere is so intense. Back me up against a tree Have me scream for help As you draw near, I freeze as my life falls off the textured shelf. Haunt me with your snake eyes Forever in my mind they stare, Out to get me - to shock and surprise They strip me cold and bare. You bite me deep and cause me pain In agony, I try to swerve My glassy stare of fright is your gain Dinner is served. © 2014 Clyde du CoeurAuthor's Note
