It Can Go Both Ways [Part 2]

It Can Go Both Ways [Part 2]

A Poem by Clyde du Coeur
"

The moon and stars accompany a romantic atmosphere as a loved-up couple pass by. Nearby, a flirtacious pair realise that they could never develop into what they have seen, yet make the most of their fling...

"

Waves lap at the sand
Making soft splashes...
Stars light the night sky,
Little candles...

Whoops of laughter within earshot fly,
The happiness of two lovers passing by,
And then there’s you and I...

You hold my hand in such a way
I never thought possible...
You look into my eyes with such passion
It’s almost surreal...

Together we left the bar,
And we got this far;
To the sand accompanied by the sea and the stars.

We could never be like them,
The true lovers...
What are we but
A little tipsy..?

Would it happen in sober times you may enquire,
The influence must be alcoholically-fuelled desire,
If only the straits weren’t so dire.

Falling into your arms I know
It’ll never be the same...
Still, we whirl, dance and waltz,
Biding our time...

I don’t want this night to end, but it must...
