As We FellA Poem by SaturnaliaWe could have been more.
Tell me your story, and I might share with you mine
Can we hope to understand each other in time Or maybe we'll just let this fall through the floor And not care about each other anymore Do you think about me as much as I do you And yet I never dare approach you I don't think we would be good as friends Because things like these usually end Now I sit next to you and smile It looks like we'll be friends for a while Until a year comes and goes And you become like all my foes I pass you and we still joke But I feel as if we're separated by smoke Now I cry for what might have been Who knew life could be so thin So tell me your story, and I might share with you mine Maybe you'll think of me differently if we just had time Or maybe your life will fall through the floor And you won't be able to care anymore © 2009 SaturnaliaAuthor's Note
