I Remember

I Remember

A Poem by Saturnalia
"

Childhood and its innocence.

"

I remember when I couldn’t wait till Blue’s Clues was on.

I remember when I thought I was invincible.

I remember when my favorite afternoon activity was running in circles.

I remember when making a fort with two chairs and a bed sheet was fun.

I remember when hiding under the covers protected me from monsters.

Another thing I found when organizing my files. It's something I did for English last year. Not to be taken seriously. XD

I remember is a well-sculptured image of the past days that will drift away and now become a moment lost in time. You gave them a wonderful impression of what life captures when reality set innice write.

So many people could relate to this poem almost exactly as you have written it here. Others can interpet it and change just a very few select words, and could relate to it exactly. This poem is is one that everyone can relate to, as well as I can. Thanks for sharing!

I liked your sweet honest lines. It remembered me on The Book of Common Prayer from 1662, there it says:
"Because through the weakness of our mortal nature we can do no good thing without thee, grant us the help of thy grace, both in will and deed."
