Blue Toned CoatA Poem by ClusterChuckFor about a decade now the first two lines of this piece have been bouncing around in my head. Every now and then it settles into somethng fresh. This is its latest reincarnation.
A two-toned blue toned El Camino
Tumbles to the dust of an Elephant’s bones. Flesh cremated in cemented chambers. The forgotten ones, unseen, have labored, To let blow the dust of the Elephant’s soul. Wind shown by remains alone. Path chosen, toward the blue toned coat. So coyly it almost crawls across the breeze. As they convene the machine concedes defeat, Decimated by the weight of the pachyderm’s aim. Crushed rust is the brood of chrome and rage. Here among ghosts and gears I, a witness, stands In the unwavering, erasing, divine desert sands. © 2012 ClusterChuck |
