Starless Night

Starless Night

A Poem by ClurHank

When pain is all I feel
And blood is all I see,
The memories
Come flooding back to me.
Of the night
And of the death.
The moon that shines above
In the starless night I see.
Behind me lies
A bright blue sky,
Ahead I'll find a windy den,
But now I'm in the dark,
This starless night I see.
Scarlet streaks my face,
And tears fall to the floor,
I see her face of smiles,
And laughter, oh, galore.
But now is gone, and then is too,
I find myself in a loveless hue,
In this starless night I see.
