Twisted TaleA Poem by Emma Grace TennysonThis was written about two years ago. You're my sailboat on
the sand A butterfly with no
wings And when you try to touch my hand My heart burns and
stings From the pain and grief
you lend So freely to my life And when I finally
start to mend You soon inflict more
strife I hate you so, and yet I
care It's a twisted tale I
weave And I wonder if you'd
maybe spare Just a bit more
sympathy I try my best, I truly do To be just what we need But now I see this much
is true You've set your evil
seed Into my love, into my
mind Spoiling every part of me But I'll still always long to find Someone to set me free © 2014 Emma Grace TennysonAuthor's Note
