Forever FallingA Poem by CloudtreesiumThe seventh pit of wonderlandFalling in love is too easy Its not just the cheesy, romantic love Not just the I just want to kiss you until I forget my name Say goodbye to sensible thoughts The gutter is now my home Sort of love Its the sort of love thats Blooded from bleeding heart Because it can be worn on my sleeve When I'm around you The sort of love that’s I just want to stay near you until sun explodes Talk with you until my ears fall off and my tongue is tied Your eyes are my now my home Sort of love I fall in love with my best friends My first friends and my worst friends I fall in love with strangers at the bus stop Who decided to divulge five minutes of their time To allow their life to briefly cross over mine I fall in love with people Who are more interesting than the deepest crevasses of the internet Who’s very being is like a ball of yarn Waiting to be unravelled I fall in love with people Who could very well be a fresh coat of wet paint left to dry Who’s simplicities make them all the more alluring I fall in love with the ghosts who live in my history books With faceless anonymities who lurk in my computer I fall in love with my audience, my critics, my fans, my admirers, my rivals This love is not pretty and packaged in the windowpane Of your favourite designer shop This love is not mine Nor is it yours This love is infinite in its abundance Shared and given and taken and exchanged and stolen 'Tis beautiful how one can come to love in so many ways 'Tis terrifying how love is so copious Like the starving bowels of space This love is neither gathered nor obtained This love is stumbled upon When your footing is lost When the floor is swept from beneath you And you fall Like Alice down to the seventh pit of wonderland Like an angel demonized It is far to easy to fall in love © 2017 CloudtreesiumReviews
