Cotton Clouds

Cotton Clouds

A Poem by Cloudless

Her laughter startled the seagulls
And I laughed at their reaction.

I stood with her
At the edge of the ocean;
Our bare feet on golden sands.

Looking up at the cotton clouds
I knew it was a dream.

For when has reality ever been so sweet?

The brightness blinded me
Before I knew it-
I had awoken-

And was blankly staring
At the glaring sun.
