One Two The Same

One Two The Same

A Poem by ClosedEyesOpen

She stands there looking at me
A knife held steady in her right hand
The point gleams
The light plays with her features
Distorts them with every breathe
Her eyes are hauntingly beautiful in there depths of greens
Lips shaped exquisitely, cherry red in color
Blood red hair hanging long on her back
Her voice, a whisper of air
Sleek and slender body doesn't sway
Porcelain skin reflects her radiance

Blinds me
Shocked at what i see
I wonder how she See's me...

Blood red hair that lays flat just below her shoulder
Her eyes hold no depth within there lusty green
Lips cherry red with a slight heart shape
Curves everywhere
Scars along her arms
Ghostly white skin
The knife in her right hand is held tight turning her knuckles red

Strike out with the knife
A painful shattering
Then glass falls to the floor with a musical chime
She hits the ground crying
Her short hair brushing her shoulders
Pieces of mirror reflect the light onto her
Her eyes are bleak but have a depth of green like no other
Her lips are cherry red and heart shaped

She cries for the image she just shattered
The one she wishes she was
Yet is

Both one person
Forever comparing
No one ever wins.
