Circle

Circle

A Poem by Eleanor

Stuck in a circle

Around and around

Always making the

Same decisons

That got us into this circle

This routine of a relationship

This needs to stop

I don't care anymore

Earlier I wanted this circle

To end with us

Happy together

Forever

But lately

I don't care

If you left forever

And we never spoke again

Don't get me wrong

I still love you

And you're still the reason

I smile

But enough is enough

My emotions can't take

This circle

Anymore

The emotions in this poem are very heavy and honest like the narrator (either you or your persona) has really thought this through and knows their feeling well. I love the line breaks and slight repetition of some words; they really help strengthen the image of a circle.
