Snow

A Poem by Jacob Clifford

*Acrostic*

Softly fluttering to the ground
New blankets coating the tiny town
Opening worlds of adventure
Wonders await

Short and accurate! Such are the wonders of snow. And haven't you guys had a hell of a snow season!? Those snowstorms have been plastered all over our news downunder.

The simplicity of the acrostic is suited to the words used. A perfect style to ease back into the poetic writing frame of mind.

Nicely conceived, Clifford.

Usually acrostics bore me to death but this was really good and I enjoy the visual I got of it in my head. Snow-free where I lived this year so I'll take and love what I can get ;)

I'm glad you enjoyed it, Lavi. Thank you for stopping by.
Unfortunately I've never had the opportunity to experience snowfall, its one of the things I crave for! I'm sure a world all snowy would be as adventurous and wondrous as your words suggest. Really liked this!

I hope so, too. You are welcome.
I love acrostic poems! Haven't done one in awhile & your perfect crafting makes me want to try one again! I'm not a fan of snow, but your delicate words make me want to imagine the wonder (((HUGS))) fondly, Margie
