Locust

Locust

A Poem by National Acrobat
"

Famine

"

End scene.

Black curtains sway, drawing end to the light of day.

High atop my steed deemed famine, my brethren and I, take to the sky.

Dumbfounded, with your own eye, watch your very home die.

Worms decapitated will live again, no matter, Earth is over my friend.

Many things from that binding of paper and glue, full of lies he has told to you.

I, however, am nothing but true. And come we will from the blue.

Life feeds on life feeds on life feeds on life.

Black covered skies,

One final plunder.

Feel the world cry,

In our wake, split the Earth asunder.

This was beautifully written. Magnificent job.

Favorite line:
"End scene"

Without this small detail, the rest of the poem would not have peaked my interest. Well done.
