It can't be a lieA Poem by ClemmyJust a lil poem I done today about life yeah jus thatPlateau of hopes Last night I had a sweet dream, Of a vast tract of personal success, Mine that was a result, Of gruesome fights of labour, The task that cascaded down from Adam, I sung with the birds, Songs of the love, Of mankind to live. I dreamt of those with parallel lives, Who opt to do that we should not, Being carried on by the attraction, That keeps disappearing like the mist, They that chose to escape reality, And live lies everyday, I dreamt of the demise to come, Of the price of patience, Of the award to evil men, Of the love to come, Oh what a sight. What a dream? And I woke up to a changed me, A man new from the heart, That's what I am, and what we all should, And life will make sense to the senseless.
