A child was born, one
In a hospital manger,
No nurse, nor doc,
just lowing animals
chewing their cud,
Today we all bow our heads,
In solitute of prayer,
We flee to his abode,
For protection and comfort
One child born,
Of divine destiny.
I was born,
In a hut,
In the heart of Africa,
Smoke twirled into the sky,
Birds sang a delightful song,
Stars shone right into my future,
In heaven, angels sang and danced,
I am destined to change,
To leave a mark of my footsteps,
To move in and alleviate,
Maybe your problem, or his or hers,
I do not hold back,
For I hate to dissapoint,
A fellow ghuma being,
A creature of God.
There are those we all know,
From Africa!
From Asia!
From the Americas!
From the Mid-East!
From the Carribeans!
From Europe!
From Australia!
Who've fought others battles
-Individuals fighting,
Unjust systems and unfair impositions,
Upon poor people who realise not,
The power vested in them,
By gthier Creator God of Heaven,
for them to live and help one and the other,
Without reserve,
What life can be?
The power is in you child,
It is in youjr hand,
Unfold it,
Release it,
Do it for Love with Love,
Do it without fear or hesitation
Because we will be right on behind you.
As a people, with a common destiny.
