Everything is always

in the last place you looked.

But what about when

it’s so dark in there

that you can’t even see?

And you were never really sure

if it was ever there to begin with?

Is that the kind of game

of Hide & Seek 

that I’m playing?

If I can just convince myself

that there was never anything to find,

then maybe I’ll stop looking.

And then,

I will finally be able

to disappear.
