Faeries Bring The Day

Faeries Bring The Day

A Poem by Clayr61
"

A nice little monologue of a daydream.

"
 The horizon blooms with color,
to announce the rising Sun,
as the faeries go about their chores,
so day can break when done.

Some are sent to turn off the stars,
a chore that takes some time,
while the rest work here on earth,
I know cuz they're friends of mine.

Why just the other morning,
I helped them shake the trees,
A task that must be done each day,
to start the morning breeze.

I often sit and watch,
as they coat the grass with dew,
they won't tell me what it is,
They just call it faerie brew.

The last chore on their list each day,
before their work is through,
is to go around and wake the birds,
that sing to me and you.
