Why Do I Miss You

Today ,

I tell myself I didn’t really love you,

But now that we’re apart,

 

I realize that I miss you,

And all that we have lived together.

The taste of your lips on mine.

The feeling of your body against mine.

The thrill of running by your side

On those dark nights.

Chasing those never ending lies.

Trying to find that which would make us happy.

Never realizing it was all a lie.

 

But, I have to understand that this

Is for the best.

 

Being away from you,

Is the only way for me to truly

live.
