This is dedicated to my little cousin who died 5 years ago

Innocent and sweet
This little girl was beautiful
The kindest person you will ever meet.

Her glorious eyes
Would always twinkle
And light up when she was surprised.

Her playful laugh and cute smile
Would brightened up your day
Even for just a little while.

She was fun and had a heart of gold
But this little girl left this earth
At seven years old.

I work in hospice... I know the pain of losing a child... I think this tribute was beautiful. She did so much in her seven years to inspire you to write about her. She touched you and probably so many others. Thank you for sending this to me... it touched many nerves.

7 years old.....that's so sad. i'm very sorry for your loss. i thought this poem was simple but to the point, which was good. *brightened should be brighten*... *in the line "but this little girl left this earth" i think you repeat the word 'this' too often.... maybe change the first one to 'that'...

other than that i think this was well-written and portrayed alot of emotion

Short but sweet. A couple of grammar errors in the third and fourth paragraphs. I only could say that I wish there were more. The format was solid, but almost too simplistic. I'm not really much of a poetry buff, so take that with a grain of salt.I don't know about the history behind this either, but I assure you, you have my sincerest condolences.

This piece is simply wonderful, and the emotions I felt while reading it were very real. You did such a great job on this. At the first glance it looks like a simple piece, but once you read it you find that there is more to this piece than meets the eye. This should be required reading for all those who want to learn to write poetry. Thank you for sending me this piece.
