Death

Can the angel of death fall in love????

Her beauty haunts my immortal soul

It has seeped into my skull

Her luscious brown hair and

Soft, beautiful hazel eyes.

Her milk skin seems so delicate,

It would be an abomination if my

Cold, dead hand were to

Lay upon it.

How elegant she seems in

My empty sockets; and so fragile

Oh so fragile!

Heaven fails in comparison

to this beautiful creature.

When I first saw her, she

Was weeping at the foot

Of her father's death bed.

It almost pained me to take

Him from her life.

To know that I was the 

Cause of her pain

Sent a knife into my

Already dead heart. 

I have seen so many

Beautiful girls in my

Eternal Afterlife

Why does she haunt me?

Why is she my grim reaper?

Oh well, I will try to figure

It all out when I come for her

In one year.

Liked this peice. Especially the last line. Made me think that death will set something up in a year or so to take his mortal love, And leave all her family and friends wondering why she ever went that way home. Can death fall in love? maybe in the same way that angels lose thier wings if they fall for a mortal. I think death will take everyone eventually but i think he has the power to prolong the taking as he wrestles with his feelings. great concept and very good write. well done

Loved the write....and to answer your question yes I do believe that any angel can fall in love......but, how they decide to take the path that leads down loves lane now that is a totally different story......to walk the streets above in his glory or fall to the sin of the flesh?
