Courage

Courage

A Story by Dead Angel
"

How do you get over your fears?

"

What is wrong with me?! Why am I so afraid? Here I am with this terrific guy in front of me and I can’t let my guard down. He tells me he loves me with all his heart and I believe him, so why can’t I say it back? I know Jason is the right guy for me, so why do I keep running? It can’t be because of Eric, I’m so over that already and plus it happened a year and a half ago. I can tell Jason is pulling away from me, we’ve been together for 4 months and I haven’t even kissed the guy yet. He’s been so patient with me, but I can tell that it’s running out. I blame Eric for all this, it’s because of what he did that makes me so goddamn paranoid. I’m just going to do it, I’m just gonna do it. When I see Jason, I’m just going to wrap my arms around him and give him the most passionate kiss he’s ever had. I’m gonna find him right now!
Sonia is 18 years old and is the most talented artist in her college. She’s been drawing since middle school and loves every second of it. She has long, silky black hair and brown eyes that you can’t help but stare into. She’s very sweet and nice to everyone even if they don’t deserve it. She used to smile all the time, keywords used to; Sonia rather stopped after that night a year and half ago. Things seemed to be looking up for her when she met Jason, but she could never really open her heart to him; but she’s determined to change all that now.
She heads over to the library because she knew that Jason was working on a research paper for history. Just as she’s about to arrive there, she accidentally bumps into someone.
“Oh my god! I’m so sorry.” she says and as she looks up her whole body tenses up.
     “Hello Sonia.”
     “Eric…hi”

This was cute and real to life. Eric showing up shouldn't have made a difference though. But we always wonder if it's a sign, etc. I'd like to see how this turned out when all was said and done.

The bad guys seem to be the more appealing ones but we usually get hurt in the end.

Cheers,
Stacy

Two parrallel worlds that co exist, but when they cross all hell breaks loose.
For such a short piece this covered a lot, I wanted to know more, which is always a good sign. The characters felt real and the situation was easily recognisable.
Good job.

Sonia should have drop kicked Eric in the pancreas right then and there. Then Jason would have came over to see what all the ruckus was... at that point, she could have fallen into Jason's open arms and put it all out in the open - giving him that first kiss and showing him that his patience was well appreciated.

Just do it! Damn that Eric, showing up right at the wrong time. B*****d!
Jason deserves you, and, he may one day break your heart, too. But it has to be done. If you fall of the bike, you have to get back on and ride again. Never be ruled by fear, it sucks, I know all about it. Besides, he may never break your heart, and there's only one sure way to find out!!! Go for it. Good luck.

All it takes is for one person to really screw your head up. I like this in a high school sort of way. I have to guess that Jason did something really off to mess her head up. Pretty cool.
