Rosetti

Rosetti

A Poem by Meesh
"

A friend of mine idolizes Dante Gabriel Rosetti, and so I wrote this little piece while attempting to mimic his style to see if she fell for it. She did. Tell me what you think!

"

A barren arm, ‘tis just as hard to bear

as likewise a barren, cold desert expanse;

just as without feeling; not so rare

a thing that I doth take the chance.

Nie, may always be your arm through mine

and thus upon, that neither stands forlorn.

From both these hearts light strong as heav’n will shine,

and from neither of these souls that strength be shorn.

Interesting poem, with a Shakespearian air, great job

This has a classic Shakespearian feel to it. Exquisite as a poem and deep in meaning.
