The Observation of Alexi Thymia

The Observation of Alexi Thymia

A Poem by Michael Knight

I dread the feeling of cold steel

Your roses smelled so fresh and amazing

Blossoming into a dawn of beauty

Growing thorns to protect itself

In the shadows of your true identity

What rationale can explain your inexplicable?

The enigma holds a domain in your place

Only the mind can unlock

The eventual bridge of pathos to be built

The blades of aloofness on individuals backs

The tornado of indifference sweeping across

The storm of dispassion flashing and crashing

The earthquake of apathy ruling the land

No job is suited for the lucrative white suit you wear

Designed to accomplish one thing: execution of results

The bringer of void thoracic cavities screams in silence

The silence of which the architect knows no noise for

The tin man is crying in shock

No tears to express

No emotion to lament

The doctor's bedside manner weak and uninviting

An effort observed, an effort worthy of abyss

Hope is the invitation to the unexpected

Miracles share the border of faith

Scientifically proven to change the outcome

To change truth into what cannot be fact

This was also about my former love, she was an inspiration to say the least. Good and Bad.

Alexithymia is an actual condition I found out about browsing the internets

Yes, alexithymia is the inability to recognize and articulate emotions within yourself...you've done well with this piece. "The earthquake of apathy..." Really good.
