You Are Not AloneA Poem by Michael KnightI wrote this after being moved my Michael Jackson's funeral, and Al Sharpton's speech/aside to his children.
You left us all
The days don't have the pleasures of having you around And the nights are darker without your presence You were never alone You had friends and family From the day I met you, I've heard your voice I've heard you cry I held you in my arms While sick and in joy How could you leave me? You left me in this cynical cold world Just the other night I thought I heard you whisper asking me if I can nurse your heart No appointments necessary with this doctor I'm always ready to see you, again. © 2012 Michael Knight |
