In the Valley of Good & Evil

In the Valley of Good & Evil

A Poem by Michael Knight

State road 97 over by the 3 Castles is the gate,
nobody has crossed this valley alone.
Its a tough decision to do.
Be a hero with a party or be a
Legend alone.

The lady of the village sees travelers
walking by, its the hottest day of the year,
she has water to offer them, for they don't
have canteens, sweat drips of anguish and
the looks of exhaustion make it tempting.

Now she steps in the Valley of drought and despair
offer water to travelers? or save herself and family
from the inferno heat?

The travelers find very little water on their journey in
the Valley, the come in deep at the crossroads. should
they offer to the village that they have water to end the drought?
or just take the water for themselves to survive this heat?
