My first poem

So long...Ive been looking too hard, Ive waiting too long
Sometimes I dont know what I will find
I only know its a matter of time
When you love someone

I see you through the smokey air
Can't you feel the weight of my stare
You're so close but still a world away

Slowly now we begin to move
Every breath I'm deeper into you
Soon we two are standing still in time
If only you can read my mind,

Tell me your troubles and doubts
Giving me everything inside and out and
Love's strange so real in the dark
Think of the tender things that we could work on

And now I'll tell you openly
You have my heart so don't hurt me
You're what I couldn't find

Don't you try to pretend
It's our feelings that will win in the end
I won't harm you or touch your defenses

A totally amazing mind
you are so understanding and so kind
You're everything to me

Its more than a touch or a word we say
Only in dreams could it be this way

I know I've felt like this before, but now I'm feeling it even more,
Because it came from you.
