Shrouded

Shrouded

A Poem by Classestnine
"

Feeling like you're drowning in your endless failures and knowing that not even your dreams are a safe place to be, it's truly torture.

"

The rose petals fall

Onto this scarred and rotten ground

The burnt trees sway

In a broken shroud

And though I call for help

This forest is just thick enough to block it out

And I'm surrounded by the dead

I'm surrounded by the rotten

Surrounded by the broken

Shrouded by the ground.

lua
very melancholy, gritty imagery - a brilliant metaphor for the inspiration behind it
