Alive or Dead?

The heavy hard breathing of every second

The beating of my aching heart

Movement of my arms and limbs

all signs of life but i wonder... am i

ALIVE OR DEAD?

 

For if i was alive in this thing called

life would there not be

a sense of joy instead of constant need of

wanting to just die??

 

Am i awake?

Am i dead?

Or am i neither?

sounds like clinical depression. all you need is to reach inside and find the things that you love about you, they are there. embrace them and make others see your value, and don't "settle" for anything you don't desire. good write!

sometimes i feel like even though im breathing and functioning there is no joy in my life so im dead on the inside. putting up a fake smile to ward others away from getting too close to me or else bad things that i don't want to happen. other times i feel ignored and alone.
Any critques on this?
