The Writer

A pen to paper is all it takes

To keep this crafty woman awake

She sits and scribbles

Her words out with care

Telling a story

That everyone wants to hear

The pen scratches across the page

Black ink runs through her veins

Her spine is stiff and ridged

The words flow from her head to the paper

In an easy effortless scrawl.
