Hearts

Hearts

A Poem by Unchained
"

was bored on a airplane...

"

Hearts pounding all around

The noise fills my ears

I walk slowly through the crowd

Searching for the one heart i know better than any

A heart skips a beat at the sight of his love

Another is racing as its filled with anexiety

Another is like a clock... tick... tick...tick

Never changing, never skipping a beat.

Then I hear it

The soft thud of the heart I love

But something is wrong

It sounds like a different heart but it's the same face

I've never heard a heart like this

What is this new sound?

Is it exciment, fear, hatred?

Or is something I've never heard before

I run to my love and wrap my arms around her

Her heart beats faster and the strange sound grows louder

I step back in confusement

She grabs me tightly, looks into my eyes and whispers, "I love you"

That's what the sound is

It's love, love that she has for me.

My head starts to spin as i go to one knee.

Everything gets quiet, all i hear is is our hearts beating the same rythm of love.
