9/11A by Clandestine PoetTribute to 9/11A fiery blaze in the sky, Colors of red, orange and yellow,
A thick, black smoke rises into the once blue sky.
Streets full of rubble and glass,
Blood spilled and splattered,
Cold bodies buried in the heavy rubble.
Millions of tears flowing down millions of faces.
Hearts of heroes aching and beating with glowing rage and passion,
Eyes look on in horrific curiosity.
Heroes lost and wrath born. The pain of grieving souls and lost lives,
A scared vengeful public with sad, teary eyes,
A blanket of black comes over a strong, proud, vindictive nation.
A ferocious avenging eagle freed,
A blazing fire lit in the eagle’s eyes.
A war begun, a debt to be repaid,
The eagle fiercely pays back the debt with a dangerously intense fury.
The debt is repaid.
