Living EarthA Poem by LuvWritingA poem about some Caverns that I was in today, the 28th of July, 2011Hidden away from our view under the cover of mountains. Formed over the years right under our noses. Vast and great, the unknown beauty was finally found. First it started out with a small one. Then it led to finding three others. The unknown slowly became known. Now I am in it, but it is never fully seen. The dripping of water droplets echoes off the large walls. They fill the large rooms and make you listen. The Earth tell a story in them, one that you must read. Puncturing the air, there are needles retching for you from the top. Daggers on the floor grow upwards and try to meet the ones on the
ceiling. Ribbons decorate the walls, some so shear you can see through them, Others had strips and are known as bacon. The Oreo walls above your head sleep in peace. The walls are forever changing, with the help of the water. Everything glistens with droplets, making it look fake. But nothing in this world could ever be more real. It has been here for millions of year, but we have only just started to
discover it. It will take a lifetime to know it just a bit, but never fully. Changing and growing, the caverns are alive and thriving. © 2011 LuvWritingAuthor's Note
