Canst thou hear me when I call?

Canst thou hear me when I call?

A Poem by Claire Lorraine

Canst thou hear me when I call?

Dost thou recognize thy fellow laborer’s fall?

How and when shall records show

Redemption’s come and all shall know

Salvation’s future in thine grasp

Heart’s entwined and now I gasp -

At last, at last will I know

And in knowing shall peace be my rest.
