Just a dream

I don’t understand how you can bear the thought

Of never touching me again

 

Of never holding me

For as long as a night can be

 

Or simply shake the fever of your lips

Running every inch of the curves shaping my skin

 

How is it that your heart isn’t broken

Just by the thought of me being touched by

The hand of someone else?

 

Oh, let your dreams be shared

And let your heart tremble

To let the words you long to say

Come out

 

Don’t you know that we're meant to be?

Don’t you feel the love that will never stop?

Don’t you see the beauty of knowing you & I are both alive?

 

It seemed to me that there was more to this

Than just a dream…

i really like this because i struggle with thoughts like this all the time. i don't understand how others don't feel and think the same way i do. it would be so much simpler if they did. nice writing.

Very intense and emotional.........not understanding how someone can walk away after sharing something so precious, and it feels right, yet you feel as if it was a dream.........hope it's not really how you are feeling.
