My guardianA Poem by ElwinaYou’ve been
my guardian and my roof Been my
cocoon when I couldn’t make one myself Heard my
smothered cries when I was alone Your walls imprinted
from my every pain You’ve heard
my anger and my screams When nobody
else could take them You’ve been
my shelter Shared my
dreams You’ve been
more, Much more than walls I will leave
your stones and wood For another
place Where I will
rest my bones and wounds But you will
always remain In some corner of my heart © 2010 ElwinaAuthor's Note
