A love involuntary

I felt you

Instantly, inside of me

And I never experienced

Such overwhelming love

For any other being before

 

I remember feeling so

So surprised

Like I never thought

Such an emotion could spring

From within my heart

 

So soft and warm

And it surrounds you

And fills you

And suddenly

The world summarizes 

To you and me

 

Just you and me

 

A love involuntary

Unplanned

But the thought of holding you

And tears could already fall down

On my smiling face

 

As this bound is as pure

As you are heaven

And you suddenly become

The most precious thing

To me

 

How hurtful

That my heart would feel complete

Ready 

And in love

Before I even got the time

To realize the consequences

Of your presence

 

How painful

When in my mind

The decision already comes

Obvious and sharp

That I have to let you go

This is a beautiful poem. I try to illustrate love, and it seems I've been beat once again. It's sad, but oh so wonderful at the same time. Great job Claire.

Claire, good grief this is amazing as always. The beginning of the poem was needed but from here down is where it really hit the mark:

So many different emotions in this. Sad, but at least, a decision was made. That is usually half the battle. Love the title.
