Endless SummerA Poem by Claire
I simply recall the notes of euphoria, hints of mint julep breeze.
Nostalgia burning freely through my nerves; the remembrance of incandescent sun beams dancing across the water. Crisp linen, soft skin, hair pins, all sprawled out across my beach towel. A trillion grainy stones ground into my flesh; and I perceived it as a freeing setting. Here, mid-July, in the heart of Barcelona, the heavens are bulbous and blustery, and the essence of my contentment roots in the peacock blue sky; my vitality is found in soaking in the flaxen sun. © 2015 Claire |
