InsolenceA Poem by Claire
I hope you remember how it felt to be desperate
to feel eyes burning into every pore in your skin as you scurry down the hall you beg of nothing more but to return Suddenly the faux linoleum sheets below your feet are worn cobblestone streets millions of colorful piano notes are swimming in your mind burgundy, ashy, forest green, grimy black words in tongues you cannot fathom the meaning of all grasping for your utmost attention and if peace governs your undivided body will your mind be set free? I still don't know If you can walk down that hallway and feel what I felt. when your words pierce my skin and travel straight to my lungs "Gay" isn't quite a insult but rather the substance of my being matter in my brain, marrow in my bones the ache I feel in my soul is real and it's beyond my control I think. but importantly visualize the ashen place I've spoken of. it's a gray world you seem to come from. © 2015 ClaireFeatured Review
