troubles and ridiculous thoughts

troubles and ridiculous thoughts

A Poem by cl8thegr8

deeply moved
by this unnamed feeling
that turns to effort
and lingers in the
back of my memory
always there
always willing
to force me to do
some things that i might regret
upset by the timing
by the light in your eyes
by the elegance
that ironically comes with all of this
gentle and heavy
needing no one to save me
while jealousy and impulsive moments
make the worst of the best
along with this memory
which has no form of
bias
honor
or luck
a long running heartache
a forgotten faith
a badly kept promise...
all the while
rolling constantly inside
my hidden memory
stressed
vexed
complex
simplicity's lost...
so what comes next?

thanks!!
Very complex and full of emotion. I get the sense of the writer almost being lost within the vast range of mixed emotions the poem represents. Nicely written.

That's great :) Your very welcome
The conflict in this piece comes across with great clarity. We are so often victims of ourselves. I think your poem does a nice job of comparing the duality of the human condition. Nice job!

thank you! i tend to write a lot about inner conflict, but not purposely....it just happens.
