A Rose

A Rose

A Poem by Arya Le Dasmones

A rose is but a form of love,
A cliche standard posed.
Reminding me, yet once again,
Of the lacking blue eyes,
beautiful pink mouth,
tinged red cheeks,
flawless white skin,
a nonexistent golden curl,
and yet another:

That innocent admiration
for yet another
imaginary prince.

This a poignant piece for me. I miss my love. Nothing can replace the person you actually admire and adore. But simple mementos and gifts really help keep her in my daily thoughts.
