Twisting words together day and night

Conveying the hidden emotions found within everyones heart

Expressing them and showing them like a work of art

Everyone knows sorrow, for it is a common friend

One that all are ashamed to have traveling with them till the end

Yet none can mislead this sorrow or fright

It stays close behind following ever so swiftly and light

To see ones sorrow expressed on a page

With skill and craft that comes with age

Symbolism lies heavy with sorrow

Bold enough to express the feelings from within

Yet vague enough to allow others to portray their lives on to the canvas

Sorrow and sadness

Anger and grief

These negative feelings we hide and push down

Them in themselves hide beauty 

A drop of golden light no one sees in the darkness

For when there is sorrow there is a caring nature

For when there is grief there is love

For when there is anger there is passion

These emotions have a place

When your body is screaming with pain you can not describe 

When you heart is racing and your stomach has dropped

When your world is falling apart

When your future fades from view

When your brain gives up and spirals into darkness

When your heart hurts and your head is heavy

When your chest is tight and your eyes desperate and afraid

When your body is shaky and you can not sit still

When you can feel the adrenaline running through your veins

Just remember that with it comes a golden drop of light

One you should hold on to so tight

For when the moment comes to pass and you can breath again

That little drop will shine with all its might

Your sorrows and sadness help define you

They remind you how good the good times really are

How amazing it feels to exist without pain

The pain of emotions help show you what is worth fighting for

It helps reveal what you care about

It helps prepare you for the task ahead 

Pain and sorrow are scary its true

But without the burden of them you loose reality
