When I forget my name

Please don't remind me

There is probably a good reason.

When my thoughts spill from my head

Please don't pick them up

Some things just won't stay in place.

When I can't open my mouth

Please don't pry apart my lips

I most likely have nothing left to say.

When my eyes lose their sight

Please don't shine your lights at me

It will only remind me of what I don't want to see.

But if you want to forget your name

Spill your thoughts

Betray your words

And close your eyes,

I'll be waiting here for you.
