Death-Sized Suit

Death-Sized Suit

A Poem by CitrtgoW8P

A death sized suit crushes the life wind from your soul

And they flick the switch of your breathing apparatus

They take your body, without objection

And toss it in the vat

Boiling water melts your synthetic skin and

dissolves your bones

The humanity endures

As they take what’s left

And throw you into the exchangeables

The buzzards pick through the parts

One by one

Selecting, examining, polishing, preparing

One by one

The parts go, until all that is left are two eyes and a brain

Then you see

As the mechanical arms complete their masterpiece

Another man, another suit

Recyclable, controllable, expendable, destructible

Then the lights go out

Paradise

Heyyy, welcome to WritersCafe. :-)

Wow. You describe the setting very well; I can clearly see this in my imagination. You had an interesting concept, and you translated it into a poem nicely. Good job!
