Too Big To FailA Poem by CitrtgoW8PHe walks around so heavily Each footstep crushes the world He’s got something to say Something so important. The words gargle from his mouth, And spill onto the floor. We rush to pick them up, But it never stops. Video camera eyes And a motherboard brain Capture our lives, In a deadbeat universe. He breathes to fill his lungs, To steal the air, To leave us wanting. His world is not ours, We just occupy it. There’s someone sitting in his chair, and He won’t know what to do when The buzzers start going off, And his face starts fuming, He’ll scream and he’ll shout Until the roof flies off. He’ll stamp and he’ll stomp Until the walls come down. Because he grows and grows Like a hot air balloon Who’s not afraid to explode, Because he’s too big to fail. But we’ll be left to pick up the pieces, Because we are too small Too much To be hurt. © 2013 CitrtgoW8PReviews
