embers

embers

A Poem by Circe

raw burning rubber

scrape the raceway like tequila

rip windpipes in genuine emotion

music pumps bloodfire to liquid body

her hair blanketed by warm malaga salt

she drank vapours of minerals flown

land and sea, seeking fingers stinging pores

sudden tremors unlocked lips

close as a secret, forbidden legacy

eyes conscious of galaxies crash coastlines

on soul meeting soul, reflecting his mind

we dream new rules for new earth.

Damn, you came back and I wasn't around for the welcome party .. Oh' how I have missed you & your pen .. and although an honour to be the first to leaver a mark here (full marks by the way) .. these words are crying out to be read and I hope that now others will follow in the wake I have left for them .. I hope you are well my friend & life is being kind to you .. Neville
