The Observer

The Observer

A Poem by Chantelle
"

Written 24th October 2011

"
I sit on the sidelines
I look down from high
Rushing by me
They are sterile, they flow

I see it all
I am friend to none
I am but a shadow
Forgotten at the turn

I know what will happen
I know what they are
The one who can fathom
Where every path goes

Sometimes I may envy
And wish for their ignorance
But I am the one
And I see all significance

This is a clever way of capturing a new perspective of the 'higher power' we all talk about. And I believe it is much more accurate than many people might think. Funnily enough, my own experience has shown me that to watch the world without drawing conclusions or inventing judgments, as the Observer does, affords one the opportunity to begin to see the world with its' significance, as the Observer does. Well done.
