I paw through the day

A bounce with every step

Sometimes I'm petted

I purr through every stroke

Soft and shimmery through sun rays

Regret that later, when I go out to play

I claw through the night

Running will not do

Catch and scratch

Oh what fun I've had

Morning breaks

I'm your friendly neighbourhood cat…
