2 Hours

2 Hours

A Poem by Cierra Scott
"

Heart-break poem

"

Staring out the window,

Gazing at the empty driveway,

Slowly losing hope,

That you would come.

2 hours past due,

And I've not heard from you.

2 hours past due,

And I'm slowly subdue.

How long can this last?

I've given it all I got.
I can't hold on any longer.

I'm no longer at peace.

A tear falls down,

Another heart is broken.

You never showed up,

And I've died from heart break.

Do you feel responsible?

Do you feel any guilt?

Remorse?

Penance?

2 hours past due,

It's amazing what time can admit.

2 Hours past due,

It's time for me to let go of you.

"I'm not longer" should be no longer

I like the rhyme in the last stanza, you should write more like that. Nice work.
