Laugh It OffA Poem by Cierra ScottFor those who are just like this! You say mean things, I laugh it off. You call me crude names, I brush it away.
People look at you, They think you're crazy. You keep going at me, But I just smile and walk away.
Don't you see? This is my way of living. Anything you say, whether it's good or bad, You can't bring me down, because I will just laugh.
Usually, people stop when they don't get a reaction, But you always continue. People ask me if it hurts my feelings, I just think they're cute little attempts.
I live my life to the fullest, And I try to treat everyone with respect. You don't ever understand, because even when you're mean, I'm nice.
But I don't think you will ever learn, Not everyone will give you the reaction you want. I laugh it off, I shake my hands with ignorance and say, "Nice show!"
Dearest friend, if I may call you that, Even with all your foolish acts, I wont ignore you. If you were to ever need a hand, I'm here, because I'm forgiving.
I will hold out my hand, I will help you up. I will give you my acception, And show you life can be a good sanity. © 2009 Cierra ScottAuthor's Note
